The Castle used to be a part of an 11th Century Monastery
The Mosteiro de Pedroso, or Pedroso Monastery is an 11th Century Monastery that was once home to Pedro Julião, future Pope John XXI as well as Father António Vieira, considered one of the literary greats of Portuguese History.
In 1803, a wall was built separating the church from the house – now known as The Castle.
The place for your dog to enjoy nature
This family property is over 33 hectares, with fields and woods where we love taking our guests on long walks.
When we’re not out on a walk, our guests stay in the 7500 sqm garden surrounding the castle where they have enough space to run around, with puddles to splash about and even a pool for those who enjoy a swim.
Since we like to take care of your pets as if they were our own, our overnight guests don’t sleep in cages. We have a series of rooms with comfy beds for your best friends.

Our Rooms
Our guests don’t stay in cages, instead, we have big rooms ranging from 9sqm to 30sqm. We find that this way, dogs feel more comfortable and enjoy a home-like experience while also being in the company of other dogs as most rooms may be shared.
